Many of us trans guys never had the opportunity to experience a boyhood summer camp. It’s our aim that you find that missing piece at Camp Lost Boys. We provide a retreat away from the stress and the struggles of your day-to-day life. We aim to focus on self-empowerment and self-esteem building through the physical and mental activities of a traditional summer camp experience. Come climb ropes, zip line, try archery, hike mountains, go mountain biking, enjoy the lake and the pool, engage in facilitated fireside chats, new friendship and so much more! We hope you let down your guard, and get in touch with yourself, nature and your community.

WHO

Our camp is for any guy who self-identifies as a man of trans experience and is over the age of 18. This camp is largely focused on physical activities and is a dedicated place where we can celebrate our male identities in a safe, fun, and rugged outdoor setting. If this appeals to you, please join us!

Past camps have had between 35-45% men of color in attendance and ages 18-76.

LODGING

Slumber party vibes all around! You’ll be sharing your cabin with somewhere between 10 and 14 others. Cabin groups are assigned with your comfort and happiness in mind. If you are in need of an accessible bathroom in your quarters, there is a cabin that is more dorm-style than the traditional rustic ones. Please be sure to indicate that need/preference in registration.

If you're looking for less roommates and more room, we also have an option for more private accommodations, singles and doubles, for an additional cost. The private cabin option holds 1 or 2 people per room with bathroom and some living room space. Please be sure to select this option in check out.

The camp does not provide linens, so we suggest you bring your own sleeping bag and pillow. However if you need linens the camp will be able to supply, bedding, towels and pillow for an additional cost, be sure to indicate that need at checkout and you can purchase when you arrive for an additional $30.

HOW MUCH DOES CAMP COST?

Lodge 2018.jpg

All inclusive full tuition for camp dorm/bunk bed spot is $475 (plus registration fee $1 and credit card processing fee of 2.99%).

If you require more private accommodations, you can rent a double occupancy room with two queen beds, that you will share with one other camper for $630, per person (plus registration fee $1 and credit card processing fee of 2.99%).

If you would like to bunk completely alone, we have completely private rooms with a single queen bed for $780 ((plus registration fee $1 and credit card processing fee of 2.99%). Space is very limited, so act fast.

It is important to us as organizers of a community event that we keep cost as low as possible. If cost is prohibitive, we encourage you to apply for our sliding scale spots or scholarship fund when it opens, but keep in mind space is limited.

Please also keep in mind that scholarship does not include transportation to and from the camp, you will need to get there on your own. Do not apply if you are unable to get yourself to camp.

WHAT DOES CAMP COST INCLUDE?

  • Lodging for 3 nights and 4 days.

  • Three fresh healthy meals a day, plus snacks and beverages - we work with the camp to design vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free menus and options catered specifically for our group and to accommodate food allergies.

    * Please be respectful of campers who have specific meal needs and food allergies. The camp facility is not able to cater to food preferences but can definitely take care of needs. The camp facility may not be able to accommodate Campers with severe or multiple allergies. An option to meal prep and store groceries is available for those in need.

  • Access to all activities offered.
