Registration and Payment FAQs

We’re committed to equity and to ensuring that people who have historically had the fewest opportunities to access Camp Lost Boys are prioritized. Registration happen in tiers:

• Scholarship & Sliding Scale Applications Open

Scholarship and sliding-scale applications will open first for those requesting financial assistance.

• Early Registration — 2 Weeks

As part of our ongoing commitment to equity and accessibility, we’re pleased to offer a two-week early registration period for community members who have historically faced additional barriers to access.

You are invited to register during this period if you are:

• A trans man who identifies as part of the BIMOC community

• Trans men over age 56

• An individual from another marginalized or underrepresented group within the trans male community

• First-Time Campers — 1 Week

Registration will then open exclusively to people attending Camp Lost Boys for the first time. If you have never attended a Camp Lost Boys event, this registration period is for you.

• General Admission — Until Sold Out

Registration will then open to everyone and remain open until camp reaches capacity.

This tiered approach allows us to prioritize accessibility and create more equitable opportunities for our community while ensuring that everyone has a chance to register.

Our registration process isn’t simply about creating a balanced or diverse crowd, but about addressing and inverting existing systems of oppression that shape who has access to spaces like Camp Lost Boys.

We’ve put a lot of thought and due diligence into creating a different system, one that actively works against the systemic harms of racism, ageism, and other forms of marginalization rather than unintentionally reinforcing them.

Our registration process is intentional about recognizing systemic inequities and creating a structure that addresses them.

At its heart, Camp Lost Boys culture is about prioritizing the care of the most vulnerable and marginalized members of our community. Our registration process is one way we put that value into practice.

Camps have historically gone on sale 6 to 8 months before the event.

Camps have limited spots and sell out quickly, so signing up our mailing list and adding us to your email contacts is highly recommended, to ensure you do not miss the window!

Registrations are managed on a first-come, first-served basis. To secure a spot, participants must make a nonrefundable deposit of 35% down (price varies depending on the chosen lodging option).

Camp admission covers three nights and four days of lodging, nine meals, snacks, access to all activities, and programming. A small handling fee and credit card processing fee are applied to all payments.

Yes, a pay-as-you-go plan is available. However, please note that all balances must be paid in full by the specified deadline (provided at registration and on the specific event page) to maintain your reservation.

No, payments are strictly nontransferable under any circumstances. They cannot be transferred to another person or to another event.

Refunds are only available for cancellations made before the cutoff date, which is listed on the specific event page. The refund amount will exclude the $35% security deposit. No refunds can be processed after the cutoff date.

Participants are encouraged to get travel insurance for potential emergencies like illness or injury. Another option is to purchase the trip protection add-on offered conveniently during the Camp registration process. This “purchase protection” is offered through our 3rd-party registration site and any claims or disputes will be handled directly through them. (more here)

Camp Lost Boys does not provide refunds after the cutoff date, regardless of the reason.
